Every great journey begins with a single decision.
The decision started with a passion for martial arts and a dream for my son. When he reached the age to begin training, the school where I was teaching made the difficult decision to discontinue its Little Dragon program. Instead of accepting that there wasn't a place for young children to begin their martial arts journey, I saw an opportunity to create one.
That opportunity became NextGen Martial Arts.
What started as a small karate class in our church quickly grew into something much bigger than I ever imagined. Families embraced the vision, students found confidence, and a community began to form. In 2013, we took the next step by moving into the facility we proudly call home today.
From the very beginning, I knew I didn't want NextGen to be just another school focused on punches, kicks, and earning belts. I wanted to create something with a greater purpose.
A place where tradition is respected, innovation is embraced, and every student is equipped with skills that extend far beyond the mat.
Today, that mission remains the same to help people become stronger, more confident, and better prepared for whatever life places in front of them.
